Sachem has entered into a partnership with Long Island Professional Soccer to provide a professional training curriculum for all Intramural Players and is included in your registration. Coaches are required to bring their teams down to their age group practices each week and will follow an age appropriate curriculum designed by Long Island Professional Soccer.
There will be optional Professionally run training sessions for all Intramural players
On game day, all children must wear their SYSL uniform.
In addition, children must wear sneakers or soccer cleats and shin pads.
NO Jewelry of any kind can be worn. No exceptions for newly pierced ears.
Intramural indoor games will be available for the U5, U6, U7, and U8 age groups this winter. Register here to ensure a spot for your son/daughter. The games will be played on Sundays in an Elementary School Gym. We expect the first game to be January 12th . You must be a current intramural player to participate. We try to keep children together with their teammates/coaches as best as possible. If a whole team registers, they will stay together. We reserve the right to adjust age groups based upon enrollment.
The Future Stars and Rising Stars programs are designed to introduce children to the basic skills of soccer. It is developmental in design, consisting of 30 minute sessions with professional trainers. The trainers use fun games and props to reinforce soccer skills. Program is run on Sundays. Children need soccer balls and soccer shin guards. They can wear soccer cleats or sneakers. No uniforms are needed. You are not permitted to switch sessions. You are required to attend the session you child is registered in.
