New York State Phase 4
Announcing our Return-to-PlayUpdatedFriday July 10, 2020 byChris Chaisty.
Good evening Sachem Families,
I'd like to take this opportunity to inform you of important news related to soccer. This past Wednesday as I'm sure you're aware New York State passed into Phase 4. This phase is important to us as it marks the return to play for soccer. What does that mean exactly? Small group training can officially begin in groups of nine or less with one Coach present. All Covid-19 precautions (to follow under separate cover), including social distancing, MUST be adhered to. To be abundantly clear, the health and safety of all of our children, parents, and trainers is paramount...
As an FYI most within our program would normally not be playing right now. This news mostly impacts those within our travel program. With that said, regardless of who this impacts, whether or not you choose to take the field is your perogative. We respect any decision you choose to make. As a parent safety comes first...
While we are fully aware other organizations have already started to train, and in some instances for weeks now, we will continue to listen to the guidance provided by our governing bodies. We are also aware that there are individuals who have made the decision to go out and play at the Waverly fields. We have not authorized any individual and/or team to practice at Waverly. We as an organization, as well as lease holder, are awaiting the green light from the Sachem Central School District. We anticipate this any day now.
Under separate cover more information will follow regarding our Return-to-Play guidelines.
Should you have any questions feel free to contact any member of the Board of Directors.
Wishing your family good health,
Sachem Youth Soccer League
